Canva Deep Dive: Build, Share, Connect
Presenter: Bruce Ellis
Design isn’t just for art teachers—it’s one of the fastest ways to save time, engage your audience, and professionalize your day-to-day workflow. Whether you’re a teacher creating interactive lesson materials, an administrator crafting weekly staff updates, a librarian promoting literacy events, or office staff designing campus signage, Canva for Education has tools tailored to your role.
In this interactive session, you’ll discover time-saving templates, AI-powered design tools, and collaborative features to bring your ideas to life. Beyond learning new features, you’ll participate in peer roundtables to share how you’re already using Canva, get dedicated time to troubleshoot your trickiest design challenges, and walk away with a ready-to-use product started or completed for your workspace. No design experience required!
Required Materials: Participants must bring a laptop and have an active Canva Education plan.
Participants will leave with:
- A Ready-to-Use Classroom Resource: A fully customized teaching material (a Brand Kit/template system, differentiated lesson, interactive student piece, or family communication tool) crafted during dedicated studio time with floating support.
- A Reusable Design Framework: Mastered techniques for configuring Canva Brand Kits and template systems to drastically cut down future planning and design time.
- Adaptable Accessibility Strategies: Practical methods to differentiate content and design for diverse learners, tailored for both full Canva for Students environments and tech-restricted districts.
- Actionable Solutions to Tech & Workflow Challenges: Peer-tested fixes for specific Canva pain points gathered from structured round-table discussions and a practitioner panel.
- Professional Growth & Peer Connections: Earned CEU/credit information, a digital session badge, and connections to a network of fellow educators for post-convention collaboration.
