Choose one of five microcredential learning programs based on the in-demand skills, cutting-edge topics, and industry-valued knowledge you want to explore on a deeper level. Attend the required sessions throughout TCEA 2025 to earn your microcredential.
AI in Education
AI is here to stay — use it to your advantage! Transform the way you educate by utilizing AI to support everything from lesson planning, personalized learning, and assessment to collaboration, closing achievement gaps, and giving feedback. Eligible sessions will be available this winter.
Digital Creation
Get creative with tools like Canva, Google and Adobe. Take a deep dive into how these tools can be used by everyone, students included! Learn about branding and design principles, discover hidden features that will excite you, and get inspired by ideas you’ll want to try right away. Eligible sessions will be available this winter.
Digital Media for Librarians
Experience a smorgasbord of powerful resources and tools for librarians and library media specialists! Explore topics like leadership in the library, AI, Canva, digital book creation, global library collaboration, and more. Eligible sessions will be available this winter.
Educational Leadership
Take the lead confidently and effectively, feeling empowered and connected like never before. Dive into specialized learning opportunities that cover building a strong culture, empowering your staff, and cultivating growth in your school or district. Eligible sessions will be available this winter.
Instructional Coaching
Level up your coaching skills and make a difference in the lives of those around you with sessions on professional development, teaching strategies, improved teaching practices and more. Shake up the way you coach your team and get ready to help them change students’ lives in exciting, new ways. Eligible sessions will be available this winter.
How It Works:
- Register for the 2025 Convention. (Due to the number of hours required to complete a microcredential, a Full Conference badge is necessary to fulfill the requirements of achieving a microcredential.)
- Determine which free microcredential you would like to earn.
- View the sessions tagged in the app for that microcredential. These will also be linked on this page in January.
- Attend at least six of the sessions listed for the microcredential you are trying to earn. This year, eligible sessions will be offered throughout the duration of the event.
- After convention, we will automatically determine if you have earned a microcredential based on your badge scans. You will then be emailed a certificate and badge.
That’s it! Take advantage of this unique program at no extra cost when you come to TCEA 2025 and leave with a new skill you can show off and be proud of.
