What is a microcredential?

A microcredential is a competency-based digital badge earned for completing certain professional learning requirements. TCEA’s microcredential learning programs are either topic-based, role-based, tool-based, or a mixture of these. Microcredentials are a great way to share your areas of expertise with the world!

The Six TCEA 2024 Microcredentials:

Choose one of six microcredential learning programs based on the in-demand skills, cutting-edge topics, and industry-valued knowledge you want to explore on a deeper level. Attend the required sessions on Saturday and Sunday at TCEA 2024 to earn your microcredential.

How It Works:

1.  Sign up for one of six different microcredentials:

  • AI for Leaders
  • AI for Educators
  • Digital Teaching and Learning
  • Canva
  • Google Tools

2.  In January, you’ll get an email with a link to microcredential sessions on Sat, Feb. 3 and Sun, Feb. 4.

3. Choose at least six sessions from the list to attend for your microcredential.

4. After convention, you’ll be emailed a form to self-report which six sessions you attended.

5. Submit the form and receive your microcredential (digital badge) by email!

If you marked that you were interested in a microcredential during registration, you’ll receive an email with a link to sign up very soon!

Not yet registered for TCEA 2024?

To earn a microcredential, you’ll first need to register for TCEA 2024 and mark that you’re interested in a microcredential during registration. Once your registration is complete, you’ll receive an email with a sign-up link.

There are a limited number of free microcredentials available. So hurry and secure your spot today!
