How to Earn a Microcredential

Registration Process
1. Register for the 2026 Convention. (Due to the number of hours required to complete a microcredential, a Full Conference badge is necessary to fulfill the requirements of achieving a microcredential.)
2. Determine which free microcredential you would like to earn.
Session Attendance Requirements
3. View the sessions tagged in the app for that microcredential. These will also be available on each microcredential’s information page in January.
4. Attend six hours of the sessions listed for the microcredential you are trying to earn. This year, eligible sessions will be offered throughout the duration of the event.
Post-Convention Submission
5. After convention, we will automatically determine if you have earned a microcredential based on your badge scans. You will then be emailed a certificate and badge.
That’s it! Take advantage of this unique program at no extra cost when you come to TCEA 2026 and leave with a new skill you can show off and be proud of.
