Whether you are attending all five days of the convention or packing as much learning as possible into just a few, your time at the 2019 Convention & Exposition will be filled with innovative presentations, incredible opportunities for connection, and valuable experiences.

Presentations and Workshops

Convention presentations and workshops are scheduled in 50-minute, 90-minute, 3-hour, and 6-hour spans for you to customize your schedule and learning preferences. Presentations and workshops will take place between the hours below.

Robert Knight Exhibit Hall

At the exhibit hall, you can discover the best of the best in education, technology, and innovative learning. The exhibit hall opens Tuesday afternoon with a grand reception from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. where you can enjoy tasty treats offered throughout the hall. You can explore the immense exhibit hall at your leisure during the hours below.

Featured Speakers

In addition to the many peer- and expert-led presentations, the convention will feature some of the biggest names in education innovation. In addition, you’ll be inspired with an Opening Keynote Tuesday 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. to Fully Charge your week and a Closing Keynote Friday 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. to complete your week. Solution Circles

Modeled after roundtable discussions, these 50-minute facilitated meet-ups will each have a focus on a particular topic. Each group will encourage meaningful conversations for exploring solutions and sharing resources. Come ready to seek answers, gather insights, and discover the power of a strong PLN.

Poster Sessions

During each scheduled poster session, multiple presenters will display resources and share ideas around a common theme or topic. You can find the topic schedule below. Each topic is scheduled for two hours in length in a casual, come-and-go atmosphere. You can explore at your own pace spending as much time as you want with each presenter engaging in one-on-one and small group discussions. Poster sessions are a great place for you to get your specific questions answered and to tailor a topic to your students’ needs.

Interactive Learning Playgrounds

The Innovation Lab is your hub for expanding your PLN and building your tool belt. We’ve invited presenters to extend their workshops into a more intimate setting allowing you to have a one-on-one experience with the latest tools, topics, and trends in education. These specially-selected presenters will offer an extensive hands-on experience for you to gather the information you need for implementation. Get equipped and informed so that you are ready to implement as soon as you return home.

The Innovator Spotlight will showcase educators, thought leaders, and technology experts that are shaping ed tech in innovative ways. A one-hour spotlight will be followed by a Q&A session and a networking hour where attendees are encouraged to discuss bold topics. Each day there are meet-ups scheduled for you to find like-minded attendees, build your tribe, and continue to spark innovation on the topics that matter most to you.

TCEA Educator Awards and Scholarships Ceremony

Tuesday

5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

TCEA’s Educator Awards and Scholarships recognize excellence in the integration of technology in schools. We present these awards, also known as Golden Apples, along with a cash prize to some of the most innovative and engaging educators at this formal awards ceremony and reception. Applications for entry will open in September. You are encouraged to apply and/or nominate a peer.
