Who Attends? You!

Secondary Teachers (6-12):

Every student is the future.

The work you do is vital to preparing students for their next chapter, but you aren’t just preparing middle and high school students for college entrance or a successful career. You are preparing them to be successful humans who have a positive impact on the world around them. You work hard to keep students engaged by sparking their curiosity using best practices in instruction, all while balancing their accountability and social-emotional development.

With the abnormality of the past two school years, this year has presented a unique challenge, especially for students transitioning from elementary to middle school and from middle to high school. That said, at TCEA 2022, we want to connect you with resources, tools, strategies, and methods that offer solutions to the most unique challenges of this year and that support your big impact.

“I was able to make contact with other session attendees afterward to bounce ideas off of each other. In the current climate, to be able to connect with others in this way, was a gift.”  -Aimee

You Pick Your Sessions

Learning. Lots of it.

With hundreds of sessions to choose from, you’ll expand your learning and grow your expertise. It’s not all about quantity, though. Quality matters! That’s why we provide research-based, data-driven sessions led by experts in the field. Attend sessions. Implement solutions. Get results. And you choose which sessions to attend based on your goals and interests.

Here are just a few of the many sessions specifically designed for secondary educators:

  • Personalized Learning: Supporting Secondary School Teachers with Changing Their Classroom Practice
  • Un-Googleable: Taking Students from Plagiarism and Writing Summaries to Original Analysis and Synthesis
  • Designing Culturally Responsive Makerspace Pop-up Activities for Middle School Populations
  • Preparing the Workforce of Tomorrow through Cloud Computing
  • Should My Student Tech Team Be a Student Pedagogy Team?
  • Mixing in Student Ownership with Technology Integration (Grades 6-12)

Whether you are attending all four days of the convention or packing as much learning as possible into just a few, your time at the 2022 TCEA Convention & Exposition will be filled with innovative presentations, incredible opportunities for connection, and valuable experiences. Plus, this year we are offering two distinct online session packages focusing on Bridging the Learning Gap and Social-Emotional Learning that you can watch through March 11.
