Who Attends? You!

Librarians and Media Specialists:

Because you don’t just hand out books.

You work at the heart of education where teaching, technology, and administration collide. You strive to build a rich library media program, and you take library management seriously to ensure that yours is up-to-date and stocked full of diverse literature and relevant resources. You understand the importance of developing students’ critical thinking and analytical skills for researching, and you work with teachers to develop these crucial skills daily. You teach, you coach, you curate, and you help transform learning. We want to provide you a place to explore and get excited about tools, ideas, strategies, and technology for supporting your future-ready library program and the meaningful work you do.

“I was able to make contact with other session attendees afterward to bounce ideas off of each other. In the current climate, to be able to connect with others in this way, was a gift.”  -Aimee

You Pick Your Sessions

Learning. Lots of it.

With hundreds of sessions to choose from, you’ll expand your learning and grow your expertise. It’s not all about quantity, though. Quality matters! That’s why we provide research-based, data-driven sessions led by experts in the field. Attend sessions. Implement solutions. Get results. And you choose which sessions to attend based on your goals and interests.

Here are just a few of the many sessions specifically designed for educators working in the library:

  • Marketing Your School Library
  • #Create #Play #Learn with Books, Technology, and STEM
  • Reading (R)evolution: Integrating DEI into the Reading Culture
  • The Fight for Inclusive Libraries
  • Create and Curate a Digital Library
  • Unconventional Connections: Matching Library Collections to Learning Needs

Whether you are attending all four days of the convention or packing as much learning as possible into just a few, your time at the 2022 TCEA Convention & Exposition will be filled with innovative presentations, incredible opportunities for connection, and valuable experiences. Plus, this year we are offering two distinct online session packages focusing on Bridging the Learning Gap and Social-Emotional Learning that you can watch through March 11.

Leslie Fisher

Leslie grabbed her 300 baud modem, jumped on the Internet (before anyone really called it the internet), and started looking for music resources. She soon realized she was spending more time discovering technology than playing music, so she changed her major and tried to figure out what geeky thing she could do for the rest of her life.
