Duty of Care

Creating a safe, worry-free experience is our top priority.

We are in the midst of planning a 2021 TCEA Convention & Exposition event experience so that all on-site individuals—attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, staff, and venue personnel—remain safe and comfortable throughout the event.

We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and in constant communication and partnership with Visit Dallas and Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center staff. Below you can find all the current safety and cleaning protocols to ensure that attending TCEA 2021 in person is as safe as possible. Please check this website or our social media channels for further updates regarding this situation.

This year, we are offering a “Worry-Free Registration Policy” for all in-person registrations. More information about this policy can be found here. If you cannot attend in person, we would like to encourage you to register for the virtual-only portion of the convention.

TCEA’s Duty of Care Plan

We’re facilitating measures that will ensure optimal health and sanitary conditions in all environments where in-person interactions take place. You can read TCEA’s Duty of Care plan below.

TCEA's Duty of Care

We remain committed to your overall experience, safety while with us, and comfort with a new take on the Convention experience. As the community is faced with health-related challenges for in-person attendance, TCEA will implement every protocol necessary to provide you with an enjoyable experience with everyone’s health top of mind. TCEA’s Duty of Care is a living document that will continue to evolve, incorporating innovative features to further enhance the onsite experience and safety for everyone in attendance.

Name Badges and lanyards will be available at three areas of the Convention Center with a touchless experience. Be sure to provide your form of payment prior to arrival to receive your fast track badge pickup QR code.

On Site Medical staff will be onsite throughout the hours of the event. A COVID-19 Health Security Plan and protocols will be arranged for, in partnership with the local Convention and Visitors Bureau and Center.

Masks will be required for all in attendance. Venue staff will be easily identifiable and wear required PPE.

Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the Center.

In partnership with the venue, TCEA will provide:

  • Sanitization between each education session, throughout open spaces, and daily in the exhibit halls. All high touched surfaces will be sanitized throughout the event.
  • Responsible food and beverage services, seating, plexiglass barriers, signage, and floor decals to reinforce spatial distancing and other safety reminders.
